Profile TPM Alumni

Graduates (alumni) from Technology, Policy and Management (TPM) programmes are highly satisfied with the programme they took. This is the result of a survey carried out among TPM alumni by the Faculty.

Graduates give teaching in the Faculty an average grade of 7.9. The alumni assess the quality of the lecturers as good, and agree with the statement that lecturers are experts on their subject. Three-quarters of them think that the programme prepared them well for their job. On the basis of the work experience they have acquired, 83% would again choose to take a degree programme at TPM and 96% would recommend the current study to others.

The results show that TPM graduates find their way onto the national and international job market soon after graduating. Nearly all of them have an academic-level job within six months. TPM alumni do well in the (international) business sector, social organisations and the scientific field.

The sectors employing them include:

  • Consultancies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Capgemini, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, Accenture
  • Transport and logistics companies such as KLM and TNT
  • Government
  • Education and science organisations such as TU Delft and TNO
  • Other business service providers such as Nuon, OPTA, KPN, INITI8

Most TPM alumni appear to fulfil functions such as Consultant or Project Manager, and some of them run their own companies. TPM alumni earn a good salary. Figures from Elsevier show that after 1.5 years, the average net monthly salary of a TPM alumnus/alumna is 2,050 Euros for a full-time job.
